I am hopeful that I have reviewed the correct game. 3-Slices is a fun game. The levels build as you play and it is certainly challenging. That being said, for most of the rubric I chose "does not meet expectations". The purpose of the game is not clear. I had difficulty finding instructions for the game, though the title does indicate that the goal is to make 3-Slices. The game does provide video walkthroughs for each level; however these videos simply show the player how to beat each level. I recommend not watching the videos because then you know how to play the levels instead of being challenged. The actual purpose of the game is to get rid of a certain percentage of the red block(s) by making three slices with a line you create using your mouse. The white blocks can help the player get rid of the red block(s), but they do not count towards the total percentage you need to get rid of. By getting rid of, I mean moving the red blocks so they drop off the bottom of the screen.
The problems are organized in such a way that they build based on the skills developed in the previous level. The game is engaging and addicting. I found myself wanting to beat the levels; I kept retrying when I was unable to beat a level. There is a small amount of feedback because the game tells you what percentage of the red blocks you were able to clear. Finally, game play does not take a great deal of time, however initial play is difficult because there are no instructions.
